Prussian Velvet Color Tester
100ML POUR POUCH
Test Prussian Velvet in your own space before committing to gallons. This deep blue paint draws inspiration from historic Prussian blue pigments, creating a color with rich depth and subtle teal undertones. The tone feels bold and atmospheric while remaining refined and balanced on the wall. Our 100ml Color Tester allows you to apply the paint directly to your space so you can observe how the shade responds to natural and artificial light throughout the day. Because deep blue paints can shift depending on lighting and surrounding materials, testing Prussian Velvet first ensures the color delivers the layered, dramatic character you’re looking for.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Color Tester?
A 100 ml pouch of real pigmented Jax & Hue paint, designed to help you experience the color and matte finish in your own space.
Why should I test the color at home?
Color changes with light and its surroundings. Testing at home lets you see how a shade works with your lighting, flooring, furniture, and finishes throughout the day.
How should I apply my tester?
Squeeze the paint pouch thoroughly, then apply it directly to a clean, dry paint brush, and apply to wall. Apply two coats for a more complete view of the color, allowing each coat to dry.
Where should I test it?
Choose a wall in the room you plan to paint. If possible, test more than one spot so you can compare the color in brighter and more shaded areas.
When should I judge the color?
Wait until the paint is dry and a day or two to fully cure, then revisit it in morning light, afternoon light, and under your evening lighting. Choose the shade that feels right across the conditions you live with.
Will it look exactly like the website?
Screens and photography can display colors differently. Your lighting and surrounding finishes also affect how the paint appears, which is why we recommend testing before ordering gallons.
