Do I need a primer?
In most cases, no. Our paint delivers rich coverage directly over clean, previously painted walls in good condition, saving you an extra step. New drywall and glossy finishes generally need a suitable primer, and bare surfaces, repairs, or stains may need additional preparation. For a typical wall refresh, you can usually go straight to your color.
Why is the paint so thick?
Because we don’t water our paint down. That rich consistency is part of the formula we deliver, giving you control over how you like to apply it. Stir thoroughly and roll on even coats, or gradually add a little clean water if you prefer a thinner consistency, following our dilution instructions. Thinning is a choice, not a requirement.
Can I use it in bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes! Our Signature Matte paint is suitable for bathroom and kitchen walls and cabinets. Its wipe-clean finish and mold- and mildew-resistant formula make it a practical choice for these spaces. Ensure good ventilation and allow the paint to fully cure before exposing it to moisture or cleaning. Our paint is not suitable for shower interiors or areas regularly exposed to running or standing water, choose a coating specifically designed for direct water exposure.
How much paint do I need?
One gallon covers approximately 450–500 square feet per coat, depending on the surface and application. For two coats, allow approximately one gallon for every 225–250 square feet of wall area. Use our paint calculator to estimate your quantity.
How long should I wait between coats?
Allow approximately two to three hours between coats. Temperature, humidity, and ventilation can affect drying time, so make sure the previous coat is dry before continuing.
Will the color look exactly like it does online?
Screens and photography can display colors differently. Natural light, evening lighting, and surrounding materials also influence how a shade appears. Testing the paint at home is the best way to choose with confidence.
