Midnight Wharf

The evening you weren’t ready to end.

He sends the address after the opening.
“Come by. A few people are still here.”

Your coat lands over the arm of an oxblood chair. There are keys in a dish by the door and a photograph you mean to ask him about later.

Midnight Wharf used to edit a magazine.
He still notices everything.

The books on the walnut cabinet are stacked out of order. He knows which one you’ve picked up without turning around. The brass lamp is the only light he leaves on in the living room, and somehow it’s enough.

He asks what you thought of the show.
You give him the answer you gave everyone else.
He waits.

HE’S THE COLOR OF
THE CONVERSATION
AFTER THE CONVERSATION.

The last guest leaves. Neither of you moves toward the door.

He brings your glass to the reading corner and takes the chair opposite. You finally ask about the photograph. He tells you where he found it, then what happened that day. Those are two different stories.

By the time you remember the hour, the room has gone quiet. The blue walls are still there around you, holding the last of the light.

He asks if you want another.

You do.

Midnight Wharf is a vivid dark blue paint with an inky depth and unmistakable presence. Its rich matte finish gives living rooms, bedrooms, and studies a strong architectural backdrop, especially alongside walnut, pale stone, oxblood, and warm metal.
